Four tiers, plainly explained
A lower tier isn't hidden or penalised. It just tells you less has been checked — which is information you deserve up front.
- Self-declared
The lister has stated these details themselves. Nothing here has been independently checked yet — treat it the way you'd treat any classified ad, and do your own due diligence before proceeding.
- Identity Verified
The lister has completed an identity check (NIN/BVN plus a liveness match, not just a number typed into a form) — so you at least know who you're dealing with. This does not verify the property itself.
- Documents Provided
The lister has uploaded title or survey documents, and our team has done a manual spot-check of what was submitted. This is document review, not independent title verification — it is not a guarantee the underlying property is free of dispute.
- Verified
An independent, contracted check has been carried out on this listing — the highest tier available today. Still not a legal guarantee; always do your own due diligence for any property purchase in Nigeria.
No tier is a guarantee. Tiers describe what has been checked and by whom — they are a starting point for your own due diligence, not a substitute for it.
